The 2017 review of the 2012 EU Bioeconomy Strategy concluded that the scope of the actions would need to be refocussed. Therefore, the updated 2018 Bioeconomy Strategy highlights the importance of regional bioeconomy strategies, of rural renaissance and of sustainable management of natural resources.
